Incursions and Co-Curricular Programs
Programs to extend your students beyond the drama curriculum and inspire a lifelong engagement with theatre.
WHAT
Our standard programs are 1 hour per week x 8 weeks. We can also deliver one-off masterclasses and tailor the length and frequency of our standard program to meet your needs.
We offer programs in the following areas:
- Acting Fundamentals
- Voice & Accent Work
- Improvisation (Long Form & Short Form)
- Devising & Storytelling
- Physical Theatre
- Scripted Scene Work
- Monologues (see Monologue Playground)
- Spoken Word & Poetry
- Puppetry & Object Theatre
- Directing
- Playwriting Workshops
- Production Skills (Lighting, Sound, Design, Stage Management)
WHO
Our WAYTCo tutors are all professional working artists who are actively engaged in the theatre industry and fully vetted for working with young people.
We can accomodate groups of secondary students from single or mixed year groups, including General Drama and ATAR Drama students.
WHERE
Our sessions usually take place in your school. We are also able to have school groups at our access-friendly studio in the King Street Arts Centre. The studio can take groups of up to 28 students and is an easy walk from the Perth Underground station.
WHEN
Our programs run during school hours or after school. We generally operate during term times but can sometimes accomodate workshops during weekends and holidays.
COST
Our standard programs cost $1850 + GST. For any customised programs, pricing will vary – please get in touch! If you are a low-ICSEA school and are unable to accomodate this fee in your term’s budget, please see here.
