Develop your writing for performance!
A 6-week course with weekly 2-hour sessions, Playwright’s Pathway empowers participants to tell Western Australian stories from a youth perspective and links with genuine opportunities to develop work from page to stage. Skills covered include storytelling and writing, narrative structuring and development, and the building of plot and characters.
This course is for anyone aged 15 to 26 willing to give writing a go. You don’t need to have any runs on the board!
2024 Playwright’s Pathway will be led by professional playwrights Donna Hughes, Sam Nerida and Gita Bezard. Past facilitators include: Andrew Sutherland, Scott McArdle, Hellie Turner and Zac James.
Participants who complete this writing course are encouraged to participate in Writing Day for 24Hr Play Generator.
