General Auditions

Our company hosts annual General Auditions to give WAYTCo members the opportunity join our year-long Beginner, Junior or Senior Ensemble Programs.

Selection for ensembles and casting opportunities is not guaranteed. If you missed out, you can still join us for other programs, such as our Playwright’s Pathway, and you are encouraged to enquire about Production and Technical Assistant roles, and Arts Management internships.

Application deadline: 22 February 2026

Auditionees will be required to prepare a 1 to 2 minute monologue that can be contemporary/classical or self-devised. WAYTCo encourages you to pick a something that you are inspired by or drawn to. Here are some sites you can visit for ideas on what to present:

You can also peruse the monologue lists which are included in the audition packages for drama schools across the country (eg. NIDA/WAAPA/VICA)

Your audition time will be confirmed by the WAYTCo Team by EOD Monday February 23.
