Summer Stage
Turn up the heat this Summer at WAYTCo!
In 2024, WAYTCo’s inaugural Summer Stage saw the development of three new works, one of which went on to be a main production. In January 2025, WAYTCo’s Artistic Director Amelia Burke is back to work side by side with members aged 13-26 work across two streams of creative development:
Stream One: Do want to make your own shows? WAYTCo has a long history of creating devised work with and for its members. Led by Artistic Director, Amelia Burke, this creative development is a deviser’s dream where we throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. It’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and test out new ideas for the stage.
This stream is for WAYTCo Members between the ages of 14 -17.
Dates: January 13 – January 17, 10am – 3pm every day
Stream Two: Are you excited by adaptation? We are calling all actors and makers who want to adapt a classic story for the stage. The only rule; it must be out of copyright! Led by Artistic Director Amelia Burke, bring along a text you’re interested in or just come ready to play.
This stream is for WAYTCo Members between the ages of 18-26.
Dates: January 20 – January 24, 4pm – 8pm every day
