An exciting program for LGBTQIA+ young people who want to explore queer theatre, learn about storytelling through performance, and be a part of an ensemble.

Program Overview

Queer Stories, presented by Healthway and WAYTCo, is an 8-session program for LGBTQIA+ young people who are interested in queer theatre-making. Led by LGBTQIA+ creatives, participants will explore storytelling through scripted and devised pieces. Ensemble bonding and learning culminates in a showing for a small invited audience during the week of Pride Fest 2026. By program conclusion, participants will develop theatre skills, confidence and community which will serve them well for other opportunities either within or beyond WAYTCo.

LGBTQIA+ young people between 16-26.

Entry Process

Applications for Queer Stories are by Expressions of Interest only – there is no requirement to audition for the program. Once you have submitted an EOI via the form below, a WAYTCo Team Member will be in contact.
