General Auditions
WAYTCo provides amazing opportunities for young theatre makers year round. If you would like to join an ensemble or take part in a 2024 production, sign up for our General Auditions!
The gateway to WAYTCo’s premier offerings, this audition moment is not to be missed! We are looking for performers, theatre makers, writers and people who just love theatre!
ALL young people are encouraged to apply, especially First Nations young people, young people of colour or who identify as CaLD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse), LGBTQIA+ youth and/or youth living with disability.
You must fall within the age range for the particular ensemble you sign-up for at time of audition. So:

Click on the button above that represents your Audition preference, and complete the form. Please submit ONE form only. Once the workshop is at capacity, the table and sub-page will show ‘FULL’.
Prepare ONE monologue (contemporary or classical) of up to 2 minutes in length. There are plenty available online:
Choose one you connect to. You can write your own monologue if you prefer, or simply tell us a story in 2 minutes (max).
General Auditions are held in the WAYTCo Studio (1st Floor, King Street Arts Centre).
Auditions are two hours long and are held in a welcoming workshop format. There will be some group activities followed by presentation of your monologue or story.
Please wear loose comfy clothes that are easy to move in.
Selection for ensembles and casting opportunities is not guaranteed. If you miss out, you can still join us for other programs, such as our Playwright’s Pathway, and you are encouraged to enquire about Production and Technical Assistant roles, and Arts Management internships.
