“From puppetry to performance art, Shakespeare monologues to improvisation, WAYTCo has given me amazing opportunities to access, engage and learn from professional arts practitioners in Perth.”

– Laura, Member 2018

Nurturing a large multi-talented pool of professional artists, WAYTCo offers a training service of quality and scale. Designing programs using a ‘Training-with-Performance-Outcome’, or TPO, approach, we ensure training is applied and the stories of our Western Australian youth told and shared.

Skills learned in our ensemble groups, masterclasses and incursions/excursions directly benefit young people, equipping them for tertiary performance studies, independent theatre practice and life.

See our training opportunities for young people below.

Who are our trainees?

Our training is currently offered to:

  • WAYTCo members
  • secondary school students
  • youth of community groups
  • other WA-based youth aged 13-26

Training for those who work with youth?

As part of our strategic planning for 2023-26, we will be looking at extending the reach of our training offerings to:

  • arts orgs/industry professionals
  • teachers and educators
  • youth community group leaders
  • corporates and others with youth stakeholders
