“This program above all helps to increase confidence and self esteem, in particular with our students who come from such diverse backgrounds. I find it helps girls from countries where women don’t have a voice to become more self-sufficient and independent.”
– Drama Teacher, Dianella Secondary College
Keen to know if we do Outreach?
Yes we do!
Act-Belong-Commit Outreach offers theatre extension activities to secondary students in low socio-economic, or low-ICSEA, Perth metro schools at no cost to schools or participants. Centred on performance and theatre-making, this program is a great first experience of WAYTCo for new, diverse, and non-traditional participants, and a stepping stone into our other performance programs.
The program is offered in a 4 x week, 1 x session/week format and schools may register for up to 2 programs/year. Primarily run Tuesday – Thursday, we will work with customisation requests where possible.
PLEASE NOTE: Program roll-out is dependent on tutor availability. Also, whilst we are open to specific content requests, and to tailoring the program to your specific needs, we cannot respond to requests to assist with putting on school productions and other left-of-field asks.
This program proudly partners with Healthway promoting the Act Belong Commit message.
