Monologue Playground

Monologue Playground is an exciting new offering from WAYTCo for secondary drama students, due to run in the April school holidays. It’s a Training-with-Performance-Outcome, TPO, intensive focussed on all things Monologue and culminating in a closed showing of solo pieces.

Taking a leaf out of 24hr Play Generator, monologuers have 36hrs to LEARN from some of Perth’s top professional artists, REHEARSE their piece, and PERFORM before invited guests in our fully equipped Perth-based Studio.

With the support of industry greats Andrea Gibbs & Will O’Mahony (Program 1) and Adam Mitchell & Julia Moody (Program 2), students will work with both scripted and devised monologues and try a range of techniques to enhance their delivery.

Only offered to secondary students enrolled in Year 11/12 drama. Each program runs for 3x consecutive days and participants are expected to attend all 3 days. Places are limited to just 20/program. 1 program per participant.
