Monologue Playground is an exciting new offering from WAYTCo for secondary drama students, due to run in the April school holiday period, (2x programs scheduled either side of Easter). It’s a Training-with-Performance-Outcome, TPO, intensive rolling out from the WAYTCo Theatre Lab, focussed on all things Monologue and culminating in a closed showing of solo pieces.
Students will be supported to work with both scripted and devised monologues and to try a range of techniques to enhance their delivery. Taking a leaf out of our 24hr Play Generator, you will have a total of 36hrs to learn from professional artists and rehearse your piece, before we draw closed our theatre drapes and adjust the lighting for a line-up of evening performances.
Capacity is for 30 students/program.
This program is only offered to secondary students enrolled in Year 11/12 drama. Participants must also be current members of WAYTCo. Registrations will open early in 2022, in the meantime, please express interest by dropping us a line here.
