Taking The Stage is for students aged 10-13, and encourages an exploration of theatre that builds confidence, skills and friendships. This is where the stars of tomorrow first take the stage! Term 4 is led by talented Logie award winning stage and screen actor Amy Mathews. 

Sundays: 15 Oct, 22 Oct, 29 Oct, 5 Nov, 12 Nov, 19 Nov, 26 Nov, 3 Dec.

About our Tutor: Amy Mathews

Amy Matthews is a Logie award winning actor with extensive stage and screen performance experience. 

Mathews made her acting debut on screen in 2001 when she made a guest appearance in the short-lived television series Head Start. She has had several roles on other television series including Always Greener, Blue Heelers and All Saints. From 2006-2010 she stared in the role of Rachel Armstrong in the much loved Australian soap Home and Away which she won a Logie for.  Her most recent guest roles include Rescue: Special Ops and Crownies. 

As an educator Amy has worked at The Actor's Co-op in Sydney in addition she worked at Bell Shakespeare as an Arts Educator where she toured performance training throughout New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
